How It Works

We offer your location the ability to comply with the OEM automakers’ and insurance providers’ requirements to perform Pre/Post Scanning at no cost to your business. These scans are being required for the vehicles OEM warranty to remain valid following collision repairs, or the repair facility may be found liable for additional repairs. These scans also cover many issues that may arise after a vehicle goes home. It gives the evidence that the “new issue” was not present when the repairs were completed, or it was, and had been corrected prior to delivery.

1) Connect to vehicle

Contact R.V.D. for Link-up request and connect the device to the vehicle’s diagnostic port.

2) Scan/Reset Completed

In a matter of minutes, a R.V.D. technician will contact your facility with information of the now history DTCs, or supply your representative with any additional operations that are required. A Pre-scan will include unknown parts of electrical/airbag components and additional operations. A Post-scan will include a complete reset, and/or unresolved issues. *In most cases, we can monitor in real-time vehicle data while on a test drive to validate concerns.

3) Results and Compliance

After each scan our technician will email each report and the invoice for our services. Attached to the Pre-scan is our invoice which your adjuster adds to the preliminary estimate, and adds mark up and any additional parts/ labor operations. After full reset, the Post-scan supplies confirmation that all systems are functioning normally, and compliance with the OEM Position Statements has been met.
